Sports boat manufacturer Supra, a division of Skier’s Choice, has partnered with EVOA, a provider of electrified performance solutions, to introduce new electric propulsion solutions for the towed water sports market.

The centerpiece of this collaboration is the EVOA E1 electrified performance package. The electrical system is built on an 800 V architecture, and features EVOA’s patented axial flux technology.

The companies installed the E1 package in a 24-foot development model called the EV 550, which boasts 155 kWh of battery capacity, over 400 horsepower and 550 lb-ft of torque. A Garmin integrated dash provides the user interface.

“Even in these early days of development, the boat and its EVOA electrified propulsion system exceeded my expectations,” said Supra Electrification Project Manager Rob Loucks. “The sensation of power and silence as we glided over the water was awe-inspiring and a unique experience that is unmatched in the world of ICE-powered boats. It is unlike anything we’ve experienced before. The EV 550 not only sets a new standard for electric watercraft, but also creates a new paradigm for how we enjoy water sports.”
