DHL opens EV Center of Excellence in Italy – Charged EVs

DHL Group has opened an EV Center of Excellence to support EV manufacturers and their logistics networks.

The facility, located in Pozzuolo Martesana, near Milan, “will offer solutions for the entire EV supply chain, encompassing everything from component procurement to vehicle delivery to aftermarket logistics support.”

The new 10,000-square-meter facility will serve as an inbound and outbound logistics hub tailored to meet the demand for EVs in the Italian market.

“This center provides a comprehensive range of services and solutions, serving as a one-stop destination for our customers to access everything they need in a single location, while also benefiting from the expertise and experience of our personnel,” said Mario Zini, CEO at DHL Global Forwarding Italy.

Services that will be offered at the center include battery testing and charging, aftermarket handling for batteries including storage, recharging and dealer warranty service, warranty and out-of-warranty replacement, and disassembly.

The EV Center of Excellence is DHL’s sixth hub in a global network. “At DHL, we are dedicated to advancing the electrification of auto-mobility. To this end, we have established EV Centers of Excellence for EV logistics around the world, where teams of specialists provide pioneering solutions for the entire supply chain—from component sourcing to vehicle delivery,” says Fathi Tlatli, President Global Auto-Mobility Sector at DHL Customer Solutions & Innovation.
