Zypp Electric to deploy 2,000 women rider partners in next 12 months | Autocar Professional

Zypp Electric has announced an initiative to empower women in the green mobility sector. In celebration of International Women’s Day, the company plans to deploy over 2,000 women rider partners within the next 12 months. Additionally, Zypp Electric aims to onboard at least 20,000 delivery partners who are women, as part of its commitment to fostering inclusivity and creating empowering opportunities.

To incentivise women to join as driver-partners, the company provides a special joining bonus of Rs 2,000 and a tailored assurance plan ensuring their safety and support. Recognising the importance of skill development, Zypp organises training batches specifically for women, empowering them to become mechanics or technicians within the maintenance teams.

Moreover, Zypp collaborates with NGOs and impact organisations to enhance female representation in the EV sector, fostering a more inclusive industry landscape.

Rashi Agarwal, Co-Founder & CBO of Zypp Electric, shares her vision for an inclusive workforce that champions gender equality, stating, “At Zypp Electric, we believe in leading by example by promoting gender equality and providing equal opportunities. Our initiative aims to diversify our fleet, provide opportunities to women, and enable them to earn through our platform. This step contributes to a future where our roads are filled with empowered women riders contributing to the economy, growth, and sustainability.”
