Zerova and Muscat Gas to build EV charging infrastructure in Oman – Charged EVs

EV charger manufacturer Zerova Technologies and Muscat Gas, a liquid petroleum gas company based in Muscat, Oman, have announced a partnership to hasten the rate of EV adoption in the Sultanate of Oman.

Through the alliance, Muscat Gas aims to become the leading provider of EV chargers in Arabia.

The two companies plan to work together to build an EV charging infrastructure that will support an expected increase in EV sales during the coming decade.

“This strategic collaboration underscores Muscat Gas’s ambition to become the leading provider of EV chargers in the region,” the company said. “The government of Oman has set a course to transition to sustainable transportation and cleaner energy, and robust EV infrastructure will play a major role in supporting this.”

The two companies first began talks at the beginning of 2024. Muscat Gas, which was founded in 1983 to trade in industrial gases and liquid propane, built its first production facility in 1985 and was listed on the Oman Stock Exchange in 1989.

Zerova Technologies was founded in 2010 as a research and development arm of Phihong Technology, a power supply company that was incorporated in 1972. In 2022, Zerova became a standalone entity focusing solely on providing EV charging solutions and related infrastructure consulting services.
