The adoption of EVs in the urban and logistical sectors is being propelled by these technologies, which facilitate real-time data analysis, optimise charging times, and enhance overall vehicle performance. The charging process can now be greatly streamlined by IoT-powered AI software, which, for example, can offer real-time charging information and optimize charging depending on weather, queue lengths, and station availability.

Urban transportation and logistics are being revolutionised by smart mobility technologies like Mobility as a Service (MaaS) and Mobility on Demand (MoD), which provide convenient and environmentally friendly alternatives. “These innovations are improving user/customer experiences and contributing to a cleaner environment by reducing greenhouse gas emissions,” said Agarwal. Furthermore, their ‘Dry Wash’ vehicle maintenance program has preserved more than 650 million liters of water, demonstrating how environmentally friendly methods may be incorporated into customer care as well.

Commercial EV adoption

Reducing urban emissions requires the utilization of commercial vehicles, especially those that are utilised for last-mile deliveries. But as Co-Founder and Director of Log9 Materials Pankaj Sharma notes, this industry has its own set of difficulties. “Decarbonising on-road pollution hinges on the electrification of such B2B vehicles. However, this has been a significant challenge due to the faster battery degradation, lengthy charging times, limited battery lifespan, insufficient vehicle service support, and a lack of financing options for B2B vehicles.”

By creating batteries that charge more quickly, prolonging their lifespan, and offering easily accessible financing and maintenance options, Log9 Materials is tackling these issues. These programs are essential to accelerating the commercial vehicle industry’s transition to electric vehicles and guaranteeing a notable decrease in carbon emissions per kilometer of travel.
