Terra Charge has previously collaborated with GrEL Cabs to establish a dedicated charging hub for its fleets near Pune airport.

EV charging infrastructure development company Terra Charge is collaborating with Pune-based electric ride-hailing service provider GrEL Cabs to develop a Park and Charge Facility in Hinjewadi, Pune.

As part of the collaboration, the EV infrastructure developer will install 11 advanced EV chargers at the designated hub to offer a fast charging experience to riders. The Japanese technology will be accessible to GrEL Cabs’ electric fleet, ensuring seamless integration with their electric vehicle models and reducing downtime.

Terra Charge has previously collaborated with GrEL Cabs to establish a dedicated charging hub for its fleets near Pune airport.

Through this collaboration, Terra Charge aims to cater to the fast charging needs of electric fleets, contributing to India’s goal of EV30@30, which aims to record a 30% sales share for electric vehicles by 2030. With this endeavour, the company contributes further to EV charging infrastructure of the city, which boasts nearly 1894 charging stations, the release said.

With this, Terra Charge moves closer to its target of installing 1000 charge points by 2024 and recording an annual revenue of USD 668,000. It advances the company’s goal of increasing its market presence while accelerating the rate of EV adoption in the country by installing charging infrastructure at strategic locations for fleet services, said the release.

CEO of Terra Charge, Akihiro Ueda, said, “We are pleased to tie up with GrEL Cabs again and advance our shared goals of strengthening the sustainable mobility segment in India. Our new development aligns with Terra Charge’s goal of creating accessible EV charging infrastructure to support the nation’s EV initiative. I believe that by continuing to combine our expertise with GrEL Cabs’ market impact, we can overcome the challenges of e-mobility and fuel India’s transition to a cleaner transportation system.”

CEO of GrEL Cabs, Sarthak Bansal, added, “Our longstanding partnership with Terra Charge marks a notable step towards providing our customers with a more reliable and sustainable mobility solution. By equipping our green cab service with Terra Charge’s charging solutions, GrEL Cabs plans to promote a wider EV adoption among cab riders and passengers.
