Saltworks delivers full-scale lithium hydroxide recrystallizer to Canadian battery plant – Charged EVs

Saltworks Technologies has delivered a full-scale lithium processing system to an EV battery plant in Canada that is being built for a major automotive and materials manufacturing company.

The digitized and modular SaltMaker evaporative crystallizer will help the client treat cathode active materials (CAM) wastewater without liquid discharge, recover lithium ions for reuse or resale, and meet Canadian environmental standards.

Saltworks Technologies designs, builds, and operates full-scale plants for industrial wastewater treatment and lithium refining and offers testing services from its fleet of mobile pilots. The company’s SaltMaker is a standardized and repeatable package—the company delivers identical units to North American battery recyclers as well as semiconductor manufacturers and mining companies.
