PowerX partners with Mercedes-Benz to build EV charging network in Japan – Charged EVs

Tokyo-headquartered PowerX, a manufacturer of EV charging infrastructure, will lead the rollout and operation of charging stations for Mercedes-Benz High Power Charging Japan, a soon-to-be-established wholly-owned subsidiary of Mercedes-Benz Group that is developing its EV charging network in Japan.

PowerX will manufacture and deliver its Hypercharger units and will also oversee charging station development, from site selection to operations. Over the next two years, the company expects the network to extend to a total of 100 charging ports in 25 locations, primarily in major metropolitan areas.
