Namma Yatri goes live with cab service in Bengaluru – ET Auto

On April 1, ET had reported that the firm was looking to expand from auto to cab services, even as it was spun off from erstwhile parent firm Justpay.

Ride-hailing firm Namma Yatri has gone live with cab-hailing in its largest market, Bengaluru.

The firm, which focused on auto rickshaws so far in the city and was one the first proponents of a daily subscription model– as against a commission model used by Ola and Uber — now shows a separate section for booking cabs on its app in Bengaluru. It already offers cab rides in Kochi and Kolkata.

On April 1, ET had reported that the firm was looking to expand from auto to cab services, even as it was spun off from erstwhile parent firm Justpay. On April 9, ET reported on how incumbents Ola and Uber have started offering subscription-based plans for auto-rickshaw drivers on their platforms instead of charging a booking fee or commission, similar to Namma Yatri and Rapido.
