Mullen Automotive dealer Eco Auto expands reach, commits to 180-truck deal – Charged EVs

Mullen Automotive, a manufacturer of commercial electric vehicles, has announced that Eco Auto, its Boston-based franchised dealer, will expand its reach to include six additional states—namely Connecticut, Maine, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Vermont.

The move will enable Eco Auto to access the many national fleet sales opportunities that exist in these states and meet the growing demand for commercial EVs in these regions.

Eco Auto also announced a $7.7-million order for 180 Mullen commercial EVs. Deliveries are slated to begin in September 2024 and continue for 18 months.

Mullen’s commercial EVs “fill a void for businesses of all sizes that are looking for inexpensive, sustainable solutions for their short-distance delivery needs,” said Eco Auto’s CEO, Al Salas, who added that the market response to the Mullen product line at Eco Auto has been “strong.”

The EV maker is based in Brea, in Orange County, California, and operates manufacturing facilities in Tunica, Mississippi, and Mishawaka, Indiana.
