The state of Massachusetts wants to ”Electrify Your Rideshare” if you are a taxi or ride-sharing app driver in the Commonwealth. Ride Clean Mass will now offer drivers rebates of up to $6,500, in addition to any other local, state and federal incentives that the driver is eligible to receive.
“Our mission is to put more EVs on the road, reduce greenhouse gases and improve air quality while supporting the drivers who need it most,“ the program says Ride Clean Mass.
By combining the rebate from the Electrify Your Rideshare program with other state and federal incentives, drivers could save up to $20,000, depending on eligibility.
The program has set a goal of providing $5.35 million in rebates to ride-share and taxi drivers and putting between 1,000 and 2,000 new electric vehicles on the road in 2025.
