Maruti Suzuki declares winners of 2nd Incubation Program with IIM Bangalore | Autocar Professional

Maruti Suzuki India has successfully concluded the 2nd cohort of its ‘Incubation Program for Mobility Startups.’ The winners of this program, namely Woloo, Hala Mobility, and SwitchOn, will collaborate with Maruti Suzuki to co-create business solutions utilising disruptive technologies. This collaboration offers these startups an opportunity to undertake a paid Proof-of-Concept with Maruti Suzuki, working on practical business applications, the company shared

In collaboration with the Nadathur S. Raghavan Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning (NSRCEL) at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIM-Bangalore), Maruti Suzuki’s Incubation Program for Mobility Startups aims to support early-stage technology-led startups. These startups, focusing on Green Manufacturing, Mobility/Mobility Infrastructure, Vehicle Technology, Data & AI, and Clean Tech, can apply for the program.

The Incubation Program for Mobility Startups is distinctive as it allows startups to work closely with Maruti Suzuki’s business teams on real-time industry use cases, facilitating the creation of industry-ready solutions. The 2nd cohort received over 300 applications, and after rigorous evaluation rounds by experts from Maruti Suzuki and NSRCEL, the top eight startups qualified for a 6-month incubation program.

In alignment with the government’s ‘Start-up India’ and ‘Digital India’ initiatives, Maruti Suzuki continues to run various innovation programs, engaging with startups at different maturity levels. These programs include the Pre-Incubation Program (Nurture), Incubation Program, Mobility and Automobile Innovation Lab (MAIL), and Mobility Challenge.

As Maruti Suzuki expands its commitment to fostering innovation in the mobility sector, the company has opened applications for the 3rd cohort of its Incubation Program. Early-stage startups with technology-driven solutions are encouraged to apply, and further details can be found here.
