Talbros Automotive Components Ltd (TACL) has announced a new business order win from a large European OEM. The multi-year contract is valued at approximately Rs 1,000 crore and has been won by TACL’s joint venture company Marelli Talbros Chassis Systems. The supply order is to executed over the next eight years, starting Q4 FY2025.
This order is for the supply suspension arms tailored for both conventional internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles and new-age electric vehicle (EV) platforms for the EMEA and NAFTA regions. Marelli Talbros Chassis Systems will produce the components from its Pune plant, for which a capex investment of around Rs 65 crore is envisaged in FY2025 and done through internal accruals and debt.
This order, which adds a new customer for the TACL Group in Europe, will enhance the Indian Tier 1 supplier’s market share in Europe and also open new avenues of growth with existing and new OEMs in the region.
Last year, TACL and Marelli Talbros Chassis Systems received orders worth an estimated Rs 980 crore across varied products segments. Amongst these, orders worth Rs 475 crore – or 48% – were for supply to the EV segment. Furthermore, orders worth Rs 415 crore were related to exports. Coupled with order wins in FY2024, TACL anticipates continued momentum in business and profitability.
