  • Jeep has increased the ground clearance of Avenger 4xe. This will help with better off-roading capability.
Jeep Avenger is now offered in three drivetrain options.

Jeep has unveiled a new version of the Avenger SUV in the global market. It is called Avenger 4xe and it combines the petrol internal combustion engine with a pair of electric motors for an all-wheel drive system. Till now, the SUV was sold only as an electric vehicle and with an internal combustion engine. Jeep has announced that they will start taking orders of the Avenger 4xe by Q4 2024 and it will be available in two trims – Overland and Upland. As of now, Jeep has no plans to bring the Avenger to the Indian market.

Jeep Avenger 4xe pairs a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine with a pair of electric motors and a gearbox. The engine produces 135 bhp while the electric motors are capable of producing 28 bhp each. The engine powers the front wheels using a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox whereas the rear wheels are powered by the electric motors that are capable of churning out a torque output of 1,900 Nm. The 4xe powertrain sets a new benchmark in the Avenger hybrid line-up, offering the highest power and torque output, with 36 hp and 25 Nm more than the e-Hybrid FWD version.

The top speed of the Jeep Avenger 4xe is 194 kmph and it can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 9.5 seconds while using the e-Boost function. Jeep is also offering a 48 Volt hybrid system to enhance the capability and fuel efficiency of the SUV. Being an off-road vehicle, there is also Jeep’s Selec-Terrain with Auto, Snow, Sand and Mud modes. There is also a Sport mode on offer. The Avenger 4xe offers a 22-degree approach, 21-degree breakover and 35-degree departure angles. This has been made possible due to the new multilink rear suspension that has been developed by Jeep. Because the ground clearance is now higher by 10 mm, the Avenger 4xe can wade through 400 mm of water.
