Firestone launches Roadhawk 2z tire for aftermarket | Autocar Professional

Firestone, a global brand with a 120-year legacy, has launched the Roadhawk 2z tire. This cutting-edge tire is meticulously crafted for hatchbacks, sedans, and CUVs, offering a 5-year warranty and aiming to establish new industry standards in performance, safety, mileage, and braking capabilities.

Speaking on the announcement, Rajarshi Moitra, Chief Commercial Officer said, “It is a proud moment for us to introduce America’s revered tyre brand and to include Roadhawk 2z in our product offerings. Firestone has a rich legacy in the tyre industry dating back to 1900. We are confident that the Roadhawk 2z will find good acceptance amongst the customers and our channel partners”.

The Roadhawk 2z tire is compatible with 12 to 16-inch rim coverage, catering to a broad market segment. With a focus on meeting the demand for extended mileage, the tire features a unique compound characterised by a high carbon black ratio. This design enhances rolling resistance and reduces abrasion on the tire.

The tire’s braking performance is reinforced with robust materials, ensuring a strong grip on the roads. The optimized shear stress and reduced slippage contribute to the overall resilience of the tire.
