Evoy Vita to enter US boating market with 300 hp fully electric outboard – Charged EVs

Norway-headquartered Evoy Vita, a manufacturer of electric boat motor systems, has partnered with Finnish boat manufacturer Axopar to supply its Evoy Storm 300+ hp fully electric outboard motors for Axopar’s AX/E electric sub-brand of leisure boats.

The AX/E boats will be available in the US in 2025. The Evoy Storm 300+ hp will also be made available to other boat builders.

Evoy Vita has made inroads in the US commercial sector. Vita Seal workboats, powered by Evoy motor systems, are operational in California, and more are scheduled for delivery in 2025. The commercial workboats offer up to 10 hours of continuous use and fast DC charging. Instant high torque and responsive controls enable seamless maneuvering, making the boats well-suited to marine-based industries, harbor patrol law enforcement and other commercial applications.

“The introduction of the AX/E line complements our growing success in the commercial segment,” said Tanguy de Lamotte, who heads up Evoy Vita’s US operations. “The demand for the Vita Seal, especially in California, underscores the versatility and effectiveness of electric boats in tackling environmental challenges while serving commercial operators’ needs.”
