Danfoss Editron division expands its on- and off-highway electrification business – Charged EVs

Danfoss Power Solutions has appointed Xianwei (Roy) Chen as President of its Editron division. Previously Editron’s Vice President, Chen will now report directly to Danfoss Power Solutions President Eric Alström.

Chen will play a key role in strengthening Danfoss’s  on- and off-highway electrification business. He will lead the two Editron business units: eMotor & Inverter Solutions; and Power Charging Solutions.

Chen brings more than 15 years of experience in electrification, electronics, automotive and mobile off-highway applications to his new role. Chen joined Danfoss in 2019 and has served in multiple leadership positions within the company.

“The on- and off-highway industries are at a transformative moment—electrification is quickly progressing from a feasible option to a superior choice for clean motive power,” Chen said. “At Danfoss Editron, we’re proud to be leading the electrification revolution by delivering innovative system solutions that enable a carbon-free future.”

“The strong growth and strategic importance of our electrification business demands the right leader,” Alström added. “Roy has a keen sense for identifying and pursuing key growth areas. His ability to set a clear vision and execute against it is admirable.”
