Daimler Truck delivers Freightliner eCascadias to Reyes Beverage Group for California operations – Charged EVs

Daimler Truck North America (DTNA), headquartered in Portland, Oregon, has delivered 20 Freightliner eCascadia Class 8 tractors to the Golden Brands—East Bay and Harbor Distributing—Huntington Beach warehouses of Reyes Beverage Group (RBG), a Chicago-headquartered nationwide distributor of alcoholic beverages.

Nine more of the vehicles are scheduled to be delivered to RBG’s Gate City Beverage San Bernardino warehouse later this year.

The trucks are equipped for a typical driving range of 220 miles. RBG’s Freightliner eCascadia tractors will use electric charging stations installed at each facility, allowing them to recharge to 80% capacity in around 90 minutes.“This is a significant step toward our sustainability goals and ensuring compliance with state regulation as we transition our fleet to EV,” said RBG West President Tom Reyes.
