Constellium to supply foilstock to Lotte for battery foil applications – Charged EVs

French aluminum products manufacturer Constellium has signed a long-term agreement to supply foilstock to South Korean battery materials firm Lotte Infracell, a subsidiary of Lotte Aluminum, for its EV battery foil applications in Europe.

Constellium will supply the foilstock from its Singen site in Germany. Lotte Infracell will make a strategic investment that will enable Constellium to invest around €30 million in new finishing lines at the facility to enhance its production capacity.

“This collaboration will ensure a reliable supply of high-quality foilstock for our battery applications, supporting the rapid growth of the electric vehicle market in Europe,” said Yon Su Choi, CEO of Lotte Aluminum and Lotte Infracell.
