Check out the first drop top electric Dodge Charger Daytona convertible

The new Dodge Charger Daytona EV may look even better as a convertible. Dodge’s new electric muscle car is already getting its first drop top upgrade. Check out the custom EV muscle car below.

Dodge Charger Daytona EV gets a convertible upgrade

In March, Dodge introduced the Charger Daytona EV, claiming it’s the “World’s first” electric muscle car. You can pick from two models, the base R/T or for the adrenaline junkies, the high-performance Scat Pack trim may be a better option.

“The electrified 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack delivers Charger Hellcat Redeye levels of performance,” according to the brand’s CEO Tim Kuniskis.

With a Direct Connection Stage 2 upgrade kit straight from the factory, the Scat Pack trim delivers up to 670 hp for a 0 to 60 mph sprint in just 3.3 seconds. That’s even faster than the Dodge Charger SRT Redeye Jailbreak edition.

Powered by a Supercharged 6.2L HEMI SRT V8 engine, the SRT Redeye model takes 3.6 seconds to get from 0 to 60 mph.

Ahead of deliveries, the new electric Charger is already getting an upgrade with its first drop top model. Florida-based conversion specialist Drop Top Customs recently introduced the first Dodge Charger Daytona EV convertible.

After getting its hands on an early model, the company shared photos of the drop top electric Charger on its Facebook page.

You can see the prototype is still in the works. It has a few glaring imperfections, like the misaligned trunk on the driver’s side. However, if Drop Top can clean it up a bit, the electric Charger might actually have some potential as a convertible.

2024 Dodge Charger Daytona EV trim Horsepower 0 to 60 mph time Starting price
Dodge Charger Daytona R/T 496 hp 4.7 seconds $59,995
Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack 670 hp 3.3 seconds $73,190

Dodge opened orders for the 2024 Charger Daytona R/T in September, starting at $59,995. The high-performance Scat Pack model will run you at least $73,190, but both qualify for the full $7,500 EV tax credit.
