ChargeEuropa secures funding for Central European EV charging stations – Charged EVs

Poland-based EV charging infrastructure company ChargeEuropa has announced the successful closure of its latest funding round, led by French impact investment fund Shift4Good, whose limited partners include Renault Group, BNP Paribas Group and the European Investment Fund.

The round included co-investments and follow-on investments from Polish impact fund Simpact Ventures, German venture capital firm MobilityFund, US investment firm Canard Ventures and Swiss/Polish entrepreneur Alex Kostecki, co-founder of finance app Clair.

ChargeEuropa has a pipeline of more than 1,000 locations across Poland. The new funding—which marks the first significant French investment in Poland’s electromobility ecosystem—will enable ChargeEuropa to enlarge its team, deploy new chargers nationwide, accelerate development of its EV charging and digital out-of-home technology and expand its network into new markets.

“We believe that ChargeEuropa has the potential to become the EV charging champion for CEE,” said Jan-Christoph Rickers, Managing Director of MobilityFund. “By combining advertising with EV charging, the team can successfully deploy profitable stations in early-stage markets, ahead of the EV adoption curve.”
