American Battery Solutions unveils series and parallel configurations for its Proliance series – Charged EVs

Battery technology manufacturer American Battery Solutions (ABS) has released series and parallel configurations for its Proliance high-voltage line of lithium-ion battery pack designs for the fleet, commercial and off-highway vehicle markets, as well as the emerging marine EV market.

The T350-50 series connection allows for increased overall system voltage while keeping the same capacity. The series provides scalable and modular batteries that can be connected in up to five sets of packs (708 V / 520 kWh). The integrated high-voltage front end has vehicle and charger interfaces.

The T350-50 parallel configurations also increase the overall capacity while keeping the same voltage, extending driving range and allowing for more energy storage. The 350-50 can be connected in parallel up to 10 packs (354 V / 520 kWh). Energy ranges from 50 kWh to over 100 kWh for increased amp-hour capacity.

The series and parallel designs will be manufactured at the company’s Advanced Manufacturing Center in Springboro, Ohio.

“These extensions of our T350-50 series meet a critical need for our customers looking for more power and flexibility in some of the most demanding energy applications,” said Subhash Dhar, Chief Executive Officer of ABS.
