New Delhi: Advik, an automotive component manufacturer, has recently completed the acquisition of the business assets of the UK-based Aceleron Energy Ltd., a company known for its advanced Li-ion batteries. With this Advik forays into the Electric Vehicle (EV) and Energy Storage System (ESS) sectors, a step that aligns with its expansion plans.
By incorporating Aceleron’s assets, Advik aims to broaden its product range and customer reach, with a focus on advancing energy storage solutions for the future. The company said.
Under the management of its UK subsidiary, Advik Technologies Limited, the acquisition integrates state-of-the-art Li-ion battery technology into Advik’s offerings. This technology, renowned for its innovative design that eliminates the need for welding, is expected to enhance battery reusability and scalability, thus contributing to sustainability efforts, the company said in a media release.
Aditya Bhartia, Managing Director of Advik, expressed enthusiasm for the acquisition, highlighting its potential to drive progress toward a cleaner, more sustainable energy landscape. Beyond the acquisition of patented technology, Advik gains access to testing and prototyping facilities in the UK, complementing its existing network of manufacturing plants.
The adoption of Aceleron’s technology signifies Advik’s anticipation of growth in the electrification of various mobility segments, including two-wheelers, three-wheelers, and four-wheelers, as well as stationary energy storage systems.
