About IBBC 2026

IBBC 2026 – International Conference on Bioenergy & Bioeconomy  is a flagship international meeting for the global bioenergy and bioeconomy community. Building on the success of the inaugural IBBC 2025 in Lisbon, the second edition in Seville will deepen the focus on commercialization, first-of-a-kind (FOAK) projects, and market deployment of sustainable bio-based solutions.

Each year, IBBC gathers leading voices from academia, industry, and policy to discuss how bioenergy and the broader bioeconomy can deliver energy security, competitiveness, and real climate impact. In 2026, IBBC will place particular emphasis on integrating sustainable biomass and advanced biorefineries with energy systems, hydrogen, Power-to-X, and regional development strategies.

Who Should Attend

IBBC 2026 is designed for stakeholders across the bioenergy and bioeconomy value chain, including:

  • Investors and project developers in bioenergy, biogas/biomethane, advanced biofuels, and biorefineries
  • Owners and operators of biomass, biogas, biomethane, waste-to-energy, and biofuel plants
  • Technology providers and equipment suppliers for conversion, upgrading, carbon capture, and downstream processing
  • Large energy, fuel, transport, and hard-to-abate industrial companies seeking sustainable alternatives
  • Agri-food, forestry, and waste management companies developing feedstock and circular bioeconomy strategies
  • Policymakers, regulators, and public agencies shaping energy, climate, and circular economy frameworks
  • Researchers and academics in bioenergy, bio-based products, systems integration, and sustainability assessment
