Ford Motor Co. and its philanthropic arm Ford Charity introduced Tuesday a $5.8 million funding in Crew Rubicon, a veteran-led humanitarian group that assists in herbal failures.
The automaker plans to donate $2.5 million in money, provide the group with a fleet of 17 cars and handover Ford workers paid date off to volunteer. It’s calling the funding “Team Rubicon Powered by Ford.”
“At the heart of Ford is our commitment to help out our communities in times of need and make it possible for our employees to volunteer their time and talent to help others,” Government Chair Invoice Ford stated in a observation. “The reality is weather-related disasters in the U.S. are becoming more frequent and more severe. That is why we are significantly expanding our relationship with Team Rubicon, donating a fleet of vehicles and deploying volunteers where they are needed most.”
