PARIS — Citroen has named Laurent Diot, now head of selling and communications at Abarth, as director of the enlarged Europe pocket, which contains Jap Europe, the Balkan states and Eurasia.
Diot will report back to unutilized Stellantis CEO Thierry Koskas operationally and functionally to the director of Stellantis’ Ecu pocket, Uwe Hochgeschurtz.
His rapid process can be to regain marketplace proportion in Europe. Koskas stated not too long ago that his goal is 5 p.c by means of the top of 2023; Citroen’s flow proportion is 4.3 p.c following a gross sales droop endmost future, which executives have in large part attributed to logistics problems.
A graduate of L’Ecole Centrale Paris, Diot joined Renault Staff in 1997, and held world control positions in gross sales, advertising and industry building, together with CEO of Renault Portugal and managing director for Monaco. He used to be named advertising director for France in 2020. Diot joined Stellantis in October 2021 in his function at Abarth, primarily based in Turin.
Koskas, who may be head of gross sales and advertising for the Stellantis crew, used to be named CEO of Citroen this spring, changing Vincent Cobee. Citroen is making plans to resume its best-selling type, the petite C3, with an electric-focused model.
