Pickering Interfaces expands its portfolio of PXI digital I/O modules – Charged EVs

UK-headquartered Pickering Interfaces, a provider of modular signal switching and simulation products for electronic test and verification, has introduced four new industrial digital I/O families for PXI- and LXI-based systems.

The new products, available in both PXI and PXIe form factors, offer higher density, expanded voltage and current ranges and programmable logic levels.

Digital input and output modules are used in automated test systems for operating external devices or interfacing with external logic. Digital inputs test whether a signal voltage is above or below a threshold, and digital outputs provide either a current source, a sink or a combination of both. Industrial digital I/O modules are used to acquire signals from digital sensors, to communicate with such industrial devices as PLCs, and drive relays, solenoids and lamps.

The new products include high-density digital output modules (model 40/42-412a); high-density digital input modules with dual programmable threshold (model 40/42-414); semi-dynamic digital I/O modules (model 40/42-419); digital I/O modules (model 40-419 (PXI) and 42-419 (PXIe)); and a relay driver module (model 40/42-411A).

“We’re committed to providing the largest and most capable catalog of industrial digital I/O products in the industry,” said Pickering Technical Engineering Manager Paul Bovingdon.
